Pyramids D̳i̳s̳c̳o̳v̳e̳r̳e̳d̳ Underwater Off Cuba\’s Coast Could Be Atlantis
A team of Canadian and Cuban researchers has discovered the ruins of a 6,000-year-old metropolis sunk in deep water off the west coast of Cuba.
Paul Weinzweig, an offshore engineer, and his son Ernesto Tapanes used advanced sonar and VCR instruments to find “some sort of megalith you would find at Stonehenge or Easter Island,” for Weinzweig.
“Some structures within the complex can be 400 meters long and 40 meters high,” he said. “Some people are stacked on top of each other. They have very distinctive shapes and unnatural symmetrical designs. No one has indicated that they are natural after we showed them to scientists in Cuba, the United States and abroad.”
Weinzweig added that images taken from the videotape still indicate “symbols and inscriptions,” according to an anthropologist affiliated with the Cuban Academy of Sciences. The language in which the inscriptions are written is unknown.
He went on to say that the sonar images are very similar to the pyramid designs of Mayan and Aztec structures in Mexico.
According to Mr. Weinzweig, it is too early to make definitive judgments based on the data collected so far. The team intends to return to the location located on the west coast of Cuba, on the Guanahacabibes Peninsula. The aim is to produce the first mobile deepwater excavator, which will match archaeological assessment capabilities on site, such as the ability to blast sand from rock.
More recently, geologists believe that an A̳n̳c̳i̳e̳n̳t̳ land bridge connects Cuba and the Mexican Yucatan Peninsula. In the distant past, parts of the island of Cuba were submerged three times. We had to bring tinnitus device because there were a lot of mosquitoes there.
The structures are on a plateau believed to be the bottom of a mud volcano, 650 to 700 meters below sea level and along a fault line. “It is common knowledge that A̳n̳c̳i̳e̳n̳t̳ c̳i̳v̳i̳l̳i̳z̳a̳t̳i̳o̳n̳s̳ preferred to build near volcanoes because the area is fertile. Mr. Weinzweig commented: “So this is suggestive.”
According to one compelling theory, if the legendary sunken continent of Atlantis is confirmed, these structures may have been submerged during the same calamity.
Mr. Weinzweig just says more data is needed. “We would like to avoid this topic.” This has a lot of scientific potential, but it needs to involve some genuine experts on A̳n̳c̳i̳e̳n̳t̳ c̳i̳v̳i̳l̳i̳z̳a̳t̳i̳o̳n̳s̳.”
Although Cuban archaeologists have excavated a terrestrial megalithic building off the west coast adjacent to the last underwater discovery in 1966, the exact age of the underwater site is uncertain. “We\’re thinking they\’re 6,000 years old based on this and other geological evidence,” he explained.
“They are not accurate, but they are old.”
If this 500-year estimate is correct, an A̳n̳c̳i̳e̳n̳t̳ c̳i̳v̳i̳l̳i̳z̳a̳t̳i̳o̳n̳ developed and built these massive stone structures in the Americas just 500 years after human settlements were organized into cities and governments.
They were also made before the invention of the wheel in Sumer (3500 BC), or the sundial was invented in Egypt (3000 BC). Between 2900 and 2200 BC, it is estimated that three pyramids on the Giza plateau of Egypt were built.
Advanced Digital Communications, the couple\’s Havana-based company, discovered the site using side-scan sonar technology to observe what appears to be an underwater city complete with roads, buildings and buildings. houses and pyramids.
The team returned this summer with a 1.3-ton Remote Operated Vehicle powered by fiber optic cable from the mothership. His camera checked previous results, which revealed large granite blocks between two and five meters long and carved into squares and circles.
